Certificate Training Laboratory Chinese

Introduction

To improve professional skills in the domain of information management, students with the Department of Information Management must at least obtain two certificates before graduation: one is language certificate and the other is professional certificate. Otherwise, they must take the certificate training courses.

Compulsory certificates

Students must at least obtain the following (or equivalent) certificates before graduation:

1. GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) Elementary level, or higher level.

2. Applications of Software Packages hosted by Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan (one Class B certificate for all students or two Class C certificates for 5-year program students, or higher level).

Facilities

To help students to pass certificate examinations, the Department of Information Management has organized the Certificate Counseling Committee with six faculties. In addition, the Department Office has planned to set up the Certificate Training Laboratory in which the following facilities are provided:

1. 60 personal computers dedicated for certificate training.

2. 30 laser printers also dedicated for certificate training.

3. Packages for certificate training.

4. An authorized certificate laboratory by

• ITE (Information Technology Expert),

• MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist), and

• Council of Labor Affairs, Executive Yuan.

Encouragements

Students who passed a qualified professional certificate examination, during the program in OCU, may win the following encouragements:

1. A scholarship of NT$200 to NT$5,000, per certificate.

2. Applying for adding a score of 5 to 20 points to the grade of their class being taken, also per certificate.

3. Free of taking the certificate training course.
